There are moments when I wonder if a degree in art is such a necessity to find your way in the creative world.
But looking back on my (almost finished) first year, I can see a learning curve. I've grown and continue to. Small steps. Maybe I will never be a great designer, but that's okay because I am learning so much in the meantime: about the creative process, about myself and what specifies my style (can you guess? maybe flowers, huh?). I am taking my first steps in all these different creative directions. For instance, I have always been interested in photography but it has always been a very intuitive activity and now that I got assignments I am slowly, very slowly starting to have an eye for certain photographic aspects. I had never walked around a city and looked at the light and the reflections the way I did these past months. Ah, there's still so much out there to learn, what an exciting thought that is, isn't it? :)
